Lumos Networks to Sponsor PGA Tour Player Scott Pinckney

WAYNESBORO, Va.-- Lumos Networks Corp. (“Lumos Networks” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: LMOS), a leading fiber-based provider of data, voice and IP-based telecommunication services in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced it will sponsor PGA Tour member Scott Pinckney for the 2016 season. The sponsorship capitalizes upon both the growing popularity of golf and the tour success of Pinckney to provide greater visibility for the Lumos Networks brand. Pinckney will carry the Lumos Networks Golf Bag at each PGA Tour event this season, including this weekend at the Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club in Palisades, CA.

“We’re proud to sponsor Scott. He’ll take the Lumos Networks brand to a growing customer base within and beyond our Mid-Atlantic footprint,” said Joseph McCourt, Chief Revenue Officer for Lumos Networks. “In getting to know Scott, we were impressed with his poise on the course, his ability to relate to and interact with diverse audiences and his commitment to his sport. We look forward to sharing in each other’s success this season.”

Scott Pinckney turned pro in 2011 qualifying for the U.S. Open just months after graduating from Arizona State University. He played in both the European Challenge Tour and the European Tour before his Web.com Tour debut in 2013. During the 2013-2014 season he played in 24 of the Web.com Tour's 25 tournaments, recording a T4, a T5 and a T6 among nine top-25s. The 2014-2015 season saw continued success as he claimed seven top-25 finishes in 25 starts to advance to the FedEx Cup Playoffs in his rookie year. This included his first career TOUR top-10 at the Puerto Rico Open (T6) and his T2 finish at the AT&T Byron Nelson where he recorded four rounds in the 60s.

"I’m pleased to partner with Lumos Networks," said Pinckney. “In speaking with their leadership and employees I got a chance to see and hear first-hand their commitment to their customers and their passion for building world class fiber-based network customized to their customers’ needs. I’m looking forward to that same passion and support from them this season on the course.”
