Lumos Networks Continues Fiber Expansion and Announces Relocation of Waynesboro Retail Store

Store opens near Walmart and Martin’s on November 25

 Waynesboro, VA (November 21, 2019) – Lumos Networks, the first telecommunications services provider to bring reliable, high-speed fiber-optic services to many area residents, announced it will continue to expand its robust fiber-optics network by bringing premium services to Chinquapin in early 2020, joining recently completed fiber expansions into the Grandview and Myers Corner communities.  Lumos Networks has made significant local investments in fiber infrastructure, enabling more residential and business locations with the reliable gigabit fast fiber broadband access necessary to promote economic, educational, and lifestyle optimization.

Additionally, the Company will enhance its local presence by opening a new retail location to serve Waynesboro and Augusta County customers. The new store, located at 400 Tiffany Drive on the north end of the shopping plaza across from the Waynesboro Walmart, will open on Monday, November 25.  Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and a drop box will be available for customers making payments after hours.  The existing retail location located at 2704 W Main Street will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 22.
